The Webb's have been official for three months, 1 day, 19 hours and some odd minutes, and there is no end in site.
We've actually been busy little bees this past month, despite our lack of visits to the beloved Big D. As many of you know, we traveled to Dallas so much last year for one reason or another, so I made a promise to Eddie that after our wedding, our visits would be more limited...and for the most part, I've actually kept that promise. It wasn't looking good directly after our wedding, because once again one reason after another popped up. But after my friend Anvia's wedding, that quickly came to a hault. We made it to Dallas for Father's Day weekend in June, and I traveled the lonesome trail this past weekend to welcome a friend (Dr. Trenton Collier) home (Eddie stayed in Midland to work some overtime)...but other than that it has been Midland, Midland, Midland.
For the last month we've just been able to spend a lot of time together. We've accomplished some projects around the house. We had visitors for Fourth of July weekend (my Mom & Dad and Tiffany came in town). We've had date nights to the movies: watching such flicks as Transformers and Disney's Up. We went to Odessa for a dinner date at Red Lobster (Midland doesn't have a Red Lobster). We have truly enjoyed this moment of peace from the whirlwind of traveling 2-3 times a month.
I am disappointed to say that we were not together for our three month anniversary which was Saturday (since I was in Dallas and he was in Midland), but I'm assuming that comes with the territory of being married 350 miles away from family and friends...there are going to be missed "monthly" anniversaries. But, as long as our "Webb" clock keeps ticking, that's what matters. Not to mention, nothing that will stop us from being together when the big One Year comes along.
